Chiropractic has always been a part of her life and she received her first adjustment shortly after birth! She followed in her father’s footsteps and graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto after earning her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree at McMaster University. Dr. Shaw, a.k.a. Dr. Sue, has been practicing in Barrie since July of 1990.

Since graduating, she has continued her chiropractic studies receiving a certificate in Pediatric Chiropractic from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and certification in Animal Chiropractic from both the International and American Veterinary Chiropractic Associations. Continuing education has always been an important part of her career. She speaks frequently to various groups about animal chiropractic.

Dr. Sue prides herself in offering the highest quality of chiropractic care to people at all stages of life and health, including infants, adolescents, young adults, middle age and seniors, athletes and pregnant women. She has always taken a wellness approach towards the care of her 2-legged and 4-legged patients and in caring for herself and her family. Diet and nutrition are just a couple of her favourite topics.

Life Outside of the Office

As an active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Barrie, she volunteers her time in and around the community.

On weekends, you may run into her hiking or snowshoeing on the trails of the Simcoe County Forest with her furry companion Pearl, or learning the art of photography along the shores of Kempenfelt Bay. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends or simply curling up with a good book.
